This project by international students enrolled on the Master’s study program Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design (IUSD) at the University of Stuttgart, is part of a study project focusing on the inner-city quarter Leonhardsvorstadt. Entitled “Activate your City!”, students are working on developing long-term urban development strategies. Residents, local clubs and organizations are also involved in the process.

As part of a campaign week in Leonhardsvorstadt from Thursday 30 May to Sunday 2 June, the students will be completing surveys, and conducting workshops, discussions and walks around the city quarter. These will be used to test the viability of the strategical approaches that have already been devised. The results will be submitted to the relevant authorities as a position paper in the summer, thus making an inspiring contribution to local development.

This teaching and research project is organized by the Institute of Landscape Planning and Ecology and the Department of International Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart.
