Dürrenmatt’s ridiculously funny comedy questions the issue of ethics in science, beginning with the theory that once something has been discovered it can’t be un-discovered. Against the backdrop of the current debate on artificial intelligence, the consideration of this idea and the consequences that arise from it have taken on a whole new level of importance.
Following the performance of “The Physicist” at Schauspiel Stuttgart (7.30 p.m.), guests are welcome to join film director Cilli Drexel, together with actors and scientists, to discuss ethical and political issues, as well as the aesthetic and theatrical aspects of this subject.
This event is organized in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart, as part of the Stuttgart Science Festival “Smart and Clever”.
