Johannes Schmidt and Sebastian Zimmer (Köln/Bielefeld): Niklas Luhmann’s slip box: the challenges of a digital edition

The Digital Humanities department at the Institute of Literary Studies is organizing a lecture series for the winter semester. The series is entitled "Digital Humanities – Digital Knowledge". The title refers to both knowledge in digital form and the practice of working with and on digital objects with computer-supported methods.

Furthermore, “digital knowledge” also refers to a knowledge of “digital”. The lecture series questions the use of computer-supported methods and their epistemological and social consequences in specialist fields and in wider culture and society.
