On Girls’ Day, the University of Stuttgart opens its doors to young girls eager to explore the exciting world of science and engineering. Institutes across the university offer hands-on insights into the daily work of female scientists and engineers, showing just how creative, impactful, and diverse these fields can be.
On April 23, girls in grades 5 through 10 are invited to step onto campus and experience university life firsthand. Instead of just watching, participants get the chance to experiment, build, code, and discover for themselves — turning curiosity into real-world experience. From wind energy and artificial intelligence to robot programming and simulation technology, the workshops highlight cutting-edge research and future-focused career paths. Dedicated instructors and mentors encourage students to follow their interests, challenge stereotypes about women in STEM, and discover careers that offer strong opportunities for the future.
The journey doesn’t end with Girls’ Day. Throughout the year, the University of Stuttgart offers additional events and workshops, such as in the TryScience program designed for upper secondary students.
