In the future, decentralized energy generation using renewable energies will become increasingly important.

Photovoltaic systems, especially when they can move to track the sun, can make a major contribution to the power supply. This 60-minute workshop focuses on how we can use an Arduino microcontroller and basic electrical engineering knowledge to understand and apply basic principles to enable us to build our own solar tracker.

As part of the Stuttgart Science Festival 2022, the Stuttgart region's colleges and universities will be hosting a series of events under the motto "Knowledge creates change". Under the umbrella of the Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsregion Stuttgart e.V., they will be transforming the city center campus and city park into a place of "hands-on science" on June 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on July 1, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At more than 30 stations, visitors can gain insights into current research and projects, learn more about possible career paths and even take a look into the future.
