Biomaterials and digital technologies for building construction

A vision for the future!

12/8/20, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The construction industry uses more than 40 % of global resources, 50 % non-recyclable waste and more then 35 % of energy worldwide. The numbers highlight how important it is that we start using sustainable construction methods. This lecture offers some insight into an innovative trend in sustainable architecture, where architectonic designs are devised using bio-based materials from renewable resources and digital construction methods. The lecture will focus on a wide spectrum of prototypes, intelligent systems and architecture projects and we will also be discussing what a futuristic vision of sustainable architecture might look like.
