Try the travel expense chatbot!

A chatbot for topics relating to business trips and their accounting goes into open test operation. The dialog system will answer employees' most frequently asked questions from March 31, 2022.

The German-language chatbot system is ready to answer employees' questions after a year and a half of development. Researchers from the Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS) developed it together with employees from the travel expenses team. The project was commissioned and coordinated by the Agility Lab.

The chatbot is initially equipped for questions about business trips and travel expenses. For this purpose, the employees of the travel expenses team sifted through all questions, answers and information for employees and entered them into the chatbot system.

The current version of the program allows for a German-language conversation flow. Step by step, the chatbot asks the user, on which topics she or he wants information. The selection of topics works both by clicking on possible answers and input by typing. The software does not yet support free text.
