This event is a must for scientists interested in career opportunities in Germany: The GAIN annual conference organized by the German Academic International Network, which takes place at the end of August in Boston, USA. Whether postdoc or professor, scientists working abroad will find the GAIN Annual Conference an ideal platform to learn about career opportunities in Germany. In 2025, both Rector Prof. Peter Middendorf and Chancellor Anna Steiger will travel to the networking event that unites researchers with leading representatives of the German research landscape, politics, and business from August 29 to 31 in Boston.

Rector Peter Middendorf will join the round table “Innovation & Transfer: Where Science Meets Industry” as a panelist, while Chancellor Anna Steiger will be available to answer questions during the workshop ”You Can Have Both! Advancing your Career at the Nexus of Research and Society.”

The University of Stuttgart will also be represented at the Talent Fair, held in parallel with the annual conference. Supported by Dr. Wolfgang Holtkamp, Senior Advisor on International Affairs, the Rector and the Chancellor will also provide information on the various career paths and opportunities open to international researchers at the University of Stuttgart.

About the GAIN annual conference
