Please note: The information below may be partially outdated as it relates to older regulations and notices, which refer to Corona regulations, guidelines and hygiene concepts that have been revised in the meantime as well. Please refer to the News Ticker and FAQs for the currently valid information.

All students who have been vaccinated or have recovered must revalidate their campUSticket at the registreation centers on Campus Vaihingen or Campus City Center in order to continue attending onsite courses and exams. The previous campUSticket (version 1, V1) will be replaced by new campUSticket (version 2, V2). The basis remains your existing student ID card ECUS, which will be rewritten with a campUSticket V2. This renewal is necessary due to updated legal requirements regarding the validity period of COVID certificates.

Schedule and implementation plan
  • From January 28, 7:45 a.m.: You can renew your campUSticket at the registration centers.  You will need a current 2G certificate (vaccinated, recovered) and your ECUS (or your additional or instead of the ECUS issued chip card).
  • From February 3, 2022, 1 a.m.: All previously issued campUSticket V1 are invalid and will no longer be accepted. From then on you will have to use a campUSticket V2 for attending courses and exams.
  • From January, 28 to February, 3: During the transition period campUSticket V1 and campUSticket V2 are valid.
Avoid waiting

To avoid crowding and waiting at the registration centers the week before the central exam period, please:

  • Students who currently attend onsite classes are requested to renew their tickets by February 3, 2022 at the latest in order to reduce the crowds at the registration centers in the week before the exam period begins.
  • Students who come to the university only occasionally can also renew after February 3, 2022.

We recommend for the exam operation not to renew on the exam day, because before exams with many participants waiting times at the registration centers are probably unavoidable. We would like to carry out the renewal before the start of the examination period on February 14, 2022, if possible. This will enable you to participate in onsite courses until the end of the lecture period and avoid additional work for you during the examination period.

Opening hours and capacity of the registration centers are regularly adjusted according to demand. For more information, please check our FAQ on the registration centers.
