It is now easier for students at the University of Stuttgart to register for Mobility-Online. The software used to manage stays abroad is now directly linked to C@MPUS, the University of Stuttgart’s campus management system. The new interface enables Mobility-Online to retrieve applicant data directly from C@MPUS – meaning that it no longer has to be entered manually, as was previously the case.
Students applying to study abroad now follow a registration link, log in to C@MPUS, and are redirected to Mobility-Online. Each time you log in, Mobility-Online compares your data with C@MPUS. If, for example, your address or name changes, you only need to update this information in C@MPUS. Registration in Mobility-Online is therefore not only more convenient, but also less prone to errors. This is particularly helpful when applying to study in countries where providing accurate information is crucial for obtaining a visa.
The International Office implemented the interface in collaboration with the Competence Center for IT Applications and Projects (ITAP). The University of Stuttgart is the first university in Germany to establish an interface between Mobility-Online and C@MPUS. The campus management system is used by around 40 universities in Germany.
How to apply to study abroad
When students at the University of Stuttgart plan to study abroad, they first receive information and group counseling from the International Office and then submit their application, with deadlines varying depending on the destination region. Mobility-Online plays a central role throughout the entire process. Students submit their applications there, manage their documents, and receive updates from their International Office. On the International Office website, students can find information about studying abroad and other opportunities for a stay abroad.
