The Heinz Bach Prize is awarded by VdF HLK Stuttgart e.V. and ITGA BW, in cooperation with the Institute for Building Energetics, Thermotechnology and Energy Storage (IGTE) at the University of Stuttgart. The aim is to promote young scientists in commemoration of the work of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinz Bach.
The first prize was awarded to Joel Kimmich for his student research project "Investigating energy consumption in air distribution systems for characteristic load situations". The second prize was awarded to Lu Wan for her student research project "Investigating control strategies for the use of flexibilization potentials for heat supply in air conditioning systems". The third prize was awarded to Torben Rathje for his master's thesis "Influence of window ventilation on air quality and energy demand in classrooms".
Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Stergiaropoulos presented the awards as part of the general meeting of the VdF.
