Boysen Dissertation Award for IWS-Ph.D.

Dr.-Ing. J. Haas, IWS-LS3, was awarded by the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation with the Boysen Dissertation Award 2020 for his thesis „Optimal planning of hydropower and energy storage technologies for fully renewable power systems“.

Dr.-Ing. Jannik Haas, former Ph.D. student at the Doktorand am  Lehrstuhl für Stochastische Simulation und Sicherheitsforschung für Hydrosysteme (LS³) of the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems (IWS) of the Faculty, was awarded with the Boysen Dissertation Award 2020 by the Friedrich and Elisabeth Boysen Foundation. His thesis with the titel „ Optimal planning of hydropower and energy storage technologies for fully renewable power systems“ was finished in 2019.

The Boysen Dissertation Award is assigned every year to honor remarkable Ph. D. thesis with outstanding contributions and innovations in the field of environmental protection at the University of Stuttgart, the Technical University Dresden and the  Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
