Study program structure and content
In this study program, you acquire the necessary knowledge and methods that qualify you for leadership positions in sports-related organizations:
- You receive an introduction to the various subdisciplines of sport science (e.g., sports medicine, training science, sports psychology, sports pedagogy).
- In the areas of sports sociology and sport management, you acquire fundamental knowledge and learn to apply it in sports-related fields (e.g., sports sponsorship, club and association development, sports administration).
- The economics component of the program introduces you to the fundamentals of business administration. In addition, you learn key methods of social research (e.g., standardized surveys, qualitative interviews).

Lectures introduce students to the different disciplines of sport science and the basics of business administration.
In seminars, content related to sports sociology and sports economics is explored and elaborated in greater depth. The smaller group sizes in seminars also provide the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.
In independent study, students engage intensively and independently with German and English academic literature, prepare presentations, or write term papers.
