Your gift can provide funding for special technical facilities, help recruit a particular researchers, or finance important events and projects that hold special interest for you (please also see our website describing selected current advancement projects of the university.

The University of Stuttgart is fortunate to have more than 20 foundations [de] supporting the most varied interests, from subsidizing field trips to acquiring literary treasures or awarding prizes for outstanding student achievements. Make a donation to a foundation or set up a new foundation in your name at the University of Stuttgart. We will be happy to advise you on the possibilities.

Endowed chairs frequently make a unique statement, as illustrated by the Wind Energy Chair at the University of Stuttgart. Endowed in 2004 with a donation by Dipl.-Ing. Karl Schlecht, founder of Putzmeister AG, Aichtal, it is the first university chair for wind energy in Germany. As a rule, chairs are endowed for extended periods with a capital contribution by the donor, possibly for 10 years or longer. After this time, arranging for follow-on financing is at the university’s discretion.
