Prof. Berroth has managed the Institut für Elektrische und Optische Nachrichtentechnik (Institute of Electrical and Optical Communications Engineering) since 1996. His focal research points are micro and opto-electronical components and circuits for mobile communications and optical data transfer. Prof. Berroth has belonged to the Senate Committee Structure for six years – initially as a representative member and as a full member since 2008.

Prof. Gießelmann has been a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart since 2002 and has also cooperated in the International Max Planck Research School for Advance Materials Support since 2003. His focal research point lies in the field of the physical chemistry of soft, especially liquid crystal matter. Prof. Gießelmann has been a member of the Senate Committee on Teaching since October.

Prof. Laschat moved to the University of Stuttgart in October 2002, where she took on the Professorship of Organic Chemistry. She has been the spokesperson of a special research field to investigate molecular oxygen since 2006 and was the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry. Her research interests also include complex fluids, the synthesis of natural substances and active agents, the clarification of biological mechanisms, oxidation catalysis as well as molecular bionics. |
