Degree Seeking Students: Enrolment Information

Enrolment Information

All applicants are informed in writing of the result of the admissions procedure in the confirmation of admission. The confirmation of admission contains all the information on placement in courses, registration deadlines and the required examinations and documents. Applicants who were not admitted are informed of the reason for rejection after the deadline for applications.

The admission confirmation also explains the subsequent enrolment procedure. The following documents must be presented in person at the Admissions Office for Foreign Citizens and EU-Citizens for enrolment:

  • Form for Enrolment
  • Original documents
    Applicants should note that the University can require all certificates to be presented in original form during enrolment and are requested to bring them with them.
  • Passport photograph (maximum 4 x 5 cm in size)
  • Passport with a valid visa or residence permit, as well as a copy of the data pages (with name)
  • Submission of a direct debit authorization to the University of Stuttgart for study fees or proof of paid fees and contributions (for administrative fee and student services fee) (at the moment EUR 116,85; with re-registration/enrolment for WS 2012/13: 118,00 Euro).

    From SS 2012 tuition fees of 500 Euro must only be payed by students of the following three master's programs: Geomatics Engineering (GEOENGINE), Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS) and Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering (WASTE).

Please note that your registration is only valid for one semester. You must re-register for each additional semester of studies!
