Air Quality Control, Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering (WASTE) M.Sc. - in English
The monitoring of air and water pollution as well as the removal of waste are challenges that societies throughout the world have to face. Qualified, multidisciplinary engineers and scientists are needed to master these environmental challenges. The M.Sc. program WASTE is designed for international students wishing to find employment in their home countries or in internationally operating companies, research institutes or universities. WASTE will provide participants with a profound knowledge of the state of the art in the field of environmental technology. At the beginning of the program all students take courses which concentrate on the advanced fundamentals of environmental process engineering. In the second and third semesters students have to choose two of the three specialised areas of air quality control, solid waste and waste water in accordance with their own interests. The taught courses are supplemented by scientific and practical work within the research activities of the university institutes. The fourth semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis, which can be prepared at university or outside university in research institutes or companies.
Although all classes are taught in English, students participate in German language courses to improve their language skills.
