Environmental Engineering B.Sc.

The Environmental Engineering program combines classical engineering disciplines with natural sciences, complemented by legal, political and economic studies. The first semesters consist of mandatory courses in these fields and provide a sound basis for the second part of the course. The B.Sc. program continues with a further two semesters of study and one semester to both do an internship and prepare the bachelor thesis. During this second part, students have the oppurtunity to choose from a wide range of subjects, either preferring to specialize and acquire in-depth knowledge in one particular field or picking diverse topics in order to get a broader view of environmental issues. These topics range from waste-water treatment and groundwater remediation over air-pollution control and combustion technology to process engineering and energy issues, to name but a few. Following this course, our highly skilled graduates are well-equipped to work in any area of environmental protection.
