Renewable Energies B.Sc.

The utilisation of renewable energies is based on a wide variety of technologies. Every form of energy conversion, such as by a solar collector or a wind power plant, obeys specific physical and technical principles. This technical variety is reflected in the interdisciplinary curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energies. The combination of basic modules from mechanical and electrical engineering and computer science as well as aerospace engineering opens the door to numerous fields of competence.
Elective courses allow the students to focus their studies in the broader framework of solar, wind, water and biomass energy conversion. Additional laboratory tutorials, project work and excursions provide professional perspectives and deliver insights into the research, development and utilisation of renewable energies. Students are required to demonstrate their acquired knowledge by successfully completing a Bachelor’s thesis (3 months). Dedicated Master’s programs are available.
