Varieties of Evans

International Conference – University of Stuttgart
May 15-17, 2013
Gareth Evans is one of the most famous philosophers of the 20th century. Despite his premature death at the age of 34 years, his views strongly influence the contemporary discussion of a wide range of topics in metaphysics, logic, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of mind.
The conference aims at providing new interpretative perspectives on Evans’ texts, investigate the impact of his thoughts on currently discussed philosophical problems, and elaborate the systematic cohesion of Evans’ work.
