Sabine Metzger hat über das Thema Eros und Morbid Artistry. Existenz und Poiesis im Werk von John Hawkes promoviert. Ihre Veröffentlichungen umfassen Artikel über Gertrude Stein, Nathaniel Hawthorne und Vladimir Nabokov, sowie Beiträge zu Vampires and Zombies: Transcultural Migrations and Transnational Interpretations und Nabokov’s Life and Art. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Vladimir Nabokov, transnational literatures, Phänomenologie (Ludwig Binswanger, Henri Maldiney, Jean-Louis-Chrétien, Edward S. Casey), Sound Studies und Posthumanism.

Sabine Metzger has written her Ph. D. thesis on Eros and Morbid Artistry, which examines the interdependence of poiesis and existence in the oeuvre of John Hawkes. She has published articles on Gertrude Stein, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Vladimir Nabokov, and Lafcadio Hearn. Her recent publications include contributions to Vampires and Zombies: Transcultural Migrations and Transnational Interpretations and to Nabokov’s Life and Art. Her research interests are Vladimir Nabokov, transnational literatures, phenomenology (Ludwig Binswanger, Henri Maldiney, Jean-Louis-Chrétien, Edward S. Casey), sound studies, and posthumanism.
