Vani Chhaniwal received her M. Sc. degree in Applied Physics in1996 and her PhD degree in Applied Physics (Applied Optics) in 2005  from the Faculty of Technology & Engineering of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.

Her research areas includes: Optical interferometry, Digital Holography, Optical Instrumentation, Digital 3D Imaging, Optical Testing and Metrology
