Application for Admission - Requirements
Applicants typically have a
qualifying Bachelor degree in a qualifying field of a regular study
time of 4-years (some exceptions apply) and fulfill a
number of other basic requirements in order to be eligible for
admission. Based on the type and place of the first level
(undergraduate) degree, different requirements might be in place. Requirements are:
| 1) Degree and Study Duration |

For applicants with non-European first level degree

For applicants with European (including German) first level degreey
|
For applicants with German (Fach)-Hochschule/Berufsakademie (Duale Hochschule) Degrees

| 2) Awarding University |

| The university, awarding the degree, has to be recognized in Germany. This is typically marked as H+ in the
|
| 3) Study Field |
|---|
| Fields like computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering (communications), electronics engineering or automation. |
| 4) GPA Requirements |

The Cumulative Grade Point Average/Overall Average (CGPA) should be not lower than (value/best on scale)
|
| However it should be noted that values lower than 80%,3.2/4, 4/5, 14/20 have a difficult stand in the international competition for seats. In all cases the academic admission commission INFOTECH evaluates the finishing (overall) grades/marks of the degree examination and decides. |
| 5) English Proficiency |

The Admission Procedure
