G. R. was German Court photographer in Dresden also active as photographer in the far east, esp. in Singapore & Sumatra (as court photographer of the King of Siam). Around 1875, he founded the photostudio "G. R. Lambert & Co" in Singapore, and conduced photographic travels to Deli, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok in the 1880s and 1890s.
