Call for Papers

The Scientific Committee (SC) is pleased to invite researchers and practitioners from all over the world to submit abstracts of papers for oral or poster presentations at the 2010 Symposium. Each submitted abstract of papers will be reviewed by members of the SC to determine whether it will be accepted for presentation in one of the parallel sessions or for the poster session.

All invited and accepted papers/posters will be published in the proceedings (booklet with a CD), which will be handed out at the registration desk at the symposium.

 
 
Program of the Symposium

The detailled program will be announced soon.

Keynote Lecturers will be invited to provide introductions to the different presentations. Discussion will be one of the most important targets of the symposium. Parallel sessions are planned corresponding to the three plenary sessions.

An interesting and diverse collection of key note topics is already lined up for the Symposium in line with the main theme "The Future of Mobility: Necessity, Affordability, and Implementation." These include:

1st Plenary Session (Sept. 30): Sustainable Mobility in Metropolitan Regions

3rd Plenary Session (Oct. 1): Route Choice and Traffic Assignment

• Necessity and Effects of good Static Deterministic User Equilibrium Assignments

Symposium Language

The official language of the symposium and tutorials in both oral and written presentation is English. There will be no simultaneous translation provided.

 
 
Symposium Fees

Registration Form submitted before or on 31 July, 2010:

Participants: EUR 300,- Authors: EUR 150,- Student participants*: EUR 50,-

Registration Form submitted after 31 July, 2010:

Participants: EUR 350,- Authors: EUR 180,- Student participants*: EUR 50,-

The above-listed fees cover participation in all sessions, coffee breaks, daily lunch, tickets for public transport, proceedings, and the symposium banquet. However, the fees do not cover participation in the tutorials.

* = We kindly ask to submit a copy of your Student ID card together with the Registration Form.

 
 
Tutorials on selected Topics

In the context of the symposium, three tutorials on the following selected topics will be provided:

• Evaluation of urban transportation investments
• Positioning and map matching for traffic application
• Innovative approaches to railway capacity analysis

The tutorials will be held simultaneously on Sept. 29, 2010, and each will start at 10:30 a.m.
