As a service provider we support the relevant information and experience exchange and are the contact persons for companies, associations and public facilities. Should you identify problems your own research and development department cannot process fully, we are gladly at your disposal to establish contacts to the institutes of the university and non-university research facilities.

Solving problems in practice

The possibilities of a direct technology and know-how transfer between the universities and companies are extremely diverse. The cooperation can assume the correspondingly various forms:

• Your inquiry can be processed in the framework of a practical thesis.
• Your question is to be solved at a manageable cost (e.g. measurements, analyses, expertises).
• A long-term research and development project is agreed (contract research).
• Through issuing licences you are given the possibility to use procedures, products or software that have already been developed.
• The university and your company undertake a research and development project in cooperation with the aid of public funding possibilities (BMBF, EU, etc.).
• We are also glad to be of assistance to you with regard to the use of university patents.
