The Institute for Theoretical Chemistry consists of four research groups: The groups of A. Köhn, J. Kästner, G. Rauhut, and H.-J. Werner (retired)

Welcome

Theoretical models play an important role in the natural sciences, as they help to understand, generalize, and predict observed phenomena. Modern computer technology strongly enhances the possibilities to carry out computations on complex theoretical models. Our research groups aim at both advancing such models and applying them to topics in modern chemistry.
